Car rental:
- Fuel: approx. R.15 (approx £1) per litre
- If applicable, one-way charges (drop-off location differs from pick-up location)
- If applicable, additional driver charges: R150 (approx. £10) one time fee per extra driver during rental period
- If applicable, young driver surcharge for drivers 18-20 years of age: R125 (approx. £8.50) per day
- If applicable, charges for delivering car to hotel
- If applicable, extra items such as children's booster seats: R150 (approx £10) per rental period
- Contract fees: R35 (£2.25) per rental period
- Safety deposit: R1000 (approx. £64) per rental period

4WD Rental:
- One-way fees: If you drop off your rental vehicle at a different location than where you picked it up: ZAR 3500. Pick-up in South Africa and drop off in Namibia or vice versa: ZAR 4500. Pick up in South Africa, drop off in one of the other surrounding countries: per request. One-way rental must always be made known when booking your trip.
- Full tank
- Contract fees (stamp duty): one time fee of approximately ZAR 20
- Border fees (In Botswana and Namibia these fees amount to between R 100 and R 200 per person. In Mozambique you'll pay a separate liability insurance ZAR 150 and there is a R350 visa charge per person. At the border of Zimbabwe you'll pay an amount of US$ 55 per person for a visa, US$ 15 for liability insurance and approximately R 445 for other types of insurance)
